We are pleased to announce that preparations are underway for the Second Freelance Conference, which will be held in Skopje on April 29 at the Marriott Hotel.

Following world trends, the number of self-employed, freelancers and digital nomads is growing in Macedonia as well. Impact Foundation has been actively working on improving the conditions of freelancers in the country for 4 years.

The first Freelance Conference that we organized on May 12, 2022 had 5 panel discussions where 225 freelancers appeared interested in hearing the most important information about how to arrange their status in the country, how to pay tax, how to invest in themselves and be competitive on world platforms. This year Impact Foundation organized 10 events of a smaller nature (70 to 100 people) and we think that the number of freelancers in Macedonia is growing rapidly. We expect that this year the number will be higher and the topics even more interesting for the visitors.

We are currently confirming the agenda and speakers of the event, which will have:

-3 presentations by experts who work on the subject of self-employment / freelancing

-3 panel discussions that will provide answers to the questions:

Which part of the Macedonian legislation can be improved for better conditions for freelancers in Macedonia;
What is a good freelancer and what does breaking into global platforms look like;
How to become a digital nomad or a destination for digital nomads;
Our premium partners are the Swedish Cooperation Agency through the Reconomi project and a number of private sector organizations that would like to address this audience. In principle, we claim to be pension companies, private insurances, training centers for digital skills, payment cards, co-working spaces.
